I tin can't explain how amazing this book is. If y'all love Ilona Andrews or T.A. White stuffs, you should definitely option this up. It is one of the about activeness packed fast paced UF romance books I've ever read. There are multiple explosions, bicycle hunt scenes, badassery that is Braxley and the sexy monster that is Warwick. And peradventure one of the most original plots in a UF I've ever read.

You can feel the tension in some of the scenes in here, exist on the edge of your seats because it never went down. It was a fast pace book, which was exactly what I NEED right at present. And trust me, y'all won't regret the journey you're in once yous start. Peradventure regret considering you have to expect some time for the next book. Oh yes, a large regret there.

⚜𝐔𝐏𝐃𝐀𝐓𝐄⚜ I'm continuing with my Re-reads of this series until Shadow Lands gets released.
And just like the showtime fourth dimension I'm still as enamored with this story as i was then. These characters will definitely exist the death of me. It 𝐑𝐄𝐀𝐋𝐋𝐘, 𝐑𝐄𝐀𝐋𝐋𝐘, is gonna be a loong month.

I didn't think it was possible to read a book this fast simply hither I am. I 𝐋𝐎𝐕𝐄𝐃 this book even more than than the first one and i am a 100% certain this series will get one of my favorites. Easily.
We had a lot more than happening here, more destruction, fights, sexual tension, more than lore/world edifice and more information about Brex and Warwick origins and bond. We also got introduced to new characters and ghosts from the past to add to our picayune ring of misfits. I was a bit sad to not have Tad and Kek in this ane, i really loved them and i know they would exist great allies since they already have Brex's trust and friendship. Merely that feeling didn't terminal long because i had a lot of things distracting me from that loss. Mainly Opie, Bitzy, Scorpion and Ash.
In this one i experience like the author was like, i'll be taking information technology piece of cake on guys and gently reintroduce you to The Savage Lands but then the last 40% were like a 𝐆𝐎𝐃𝐃𝐀𝐌𝐍 𝐕𝐎𝐋𝐂𝐀𝐍𝐈𝐂 𝐄𝐑𝐔𝐏𝐓𝐈𝐎𝐍 of chaos and information reveal. One explosion after the other until the last word. Especially that shower scene. Jesus 𝐅#𝐂𝐊.
Now the next paragraph of this review will be more of a rant than anything else. And if yous've read my review of The Vicious Lands y'all know 𝐖𝐇𝐎 I'grand about to tear into. And for good reasons, just then the praising will proceed.

The woman hasn't been dorsum for an hour and that 𝐁𝐔𝐌𝐁𝐋𝐈𝐍𝐆 𝐈𝐃𝐈𝐎𝐓 thought 𝐍𝐎𝐖 was the 𝐁𝐄𝐒𝐓 most appropriate moment to get laid. The guy didn't fifty-fifty ask her annihilation nigh where she was, or why she looked like a ghost and decease had eaten away at her or what exactly had happened to her during those months. 𝐍𝐎𝐎𝐎𝐎𝐎𝐎 𝐆𝐎𝐃 𝐅𝐎𝐑𝐁𝐈𝐃 𝐘𝐎𝐔 𝐃𝐎𝐍'𝐓 𝐀𝐂𝐓 𝐋𝐈𝐊𝐄 𝐀 𝐒𝐄𝐋𝐅𝐈𝐒𝐇 𝐅#𝐂𝐊 and only talk about how 𝐇𝐀𝐑𝐃 𝐈𝐓 𝐇𝐀𝐒 𝐁𝐄𝐄𝐍 𝐅𝐎𝐑 𝐘𝐎𝐔 during those months and how haunted and tortured 𝐘𝐎𝐔 𝐖𝐄𝐑𝐄.
Every time he was in a scene the Atheist in me, snapped in my confront and begged me to pray to every God in the universe to brutally murder this moron. The style he kept flirting and acted like a pushy 𝐁*𝐓𝐂𝐇 was so cringy i wanted to gauge my eyes out. And i won't even talk about how he tried to guilt trip her into Fu#male monarch with him, with his sad speech. Was the dude that horny, because that's all he endeavor to do. Fu#k her every time he was most her, not talk virtually her trauma of assist her heal and readjust. 𝐅#𝐂𝐊𝐈𝐍𝐆 𝐇𝐄𝐋𝐋, give me strength, before i murder this fool.

⋘⋙--------•⪼⪻•--------⋘⋙
And then the engagement bomb dropped and here i thought he couldn't possibly be an even bigger coward than he already was. 𝐁𝐮𝐭 𝐋𝐨 𝐀𝐧𝐝 𝐁𝐞𝐡𝐨𝐥𝐝 i was proven wrong. The dude knew he was getting married but wanted a last hurrah before it was official.
Simply wait look await a infinitesimal there is more. Practise you desire to know what it is, okay *Clears Throat* He wants her to be his mistress. Aye!!!! I know, I know believe me simply you heard me right, there's no echo here. He will take the Ukrainian Princess equally his wife just he still 𝐂𝐇𝐎𝐎𝐒𝐄𝐒 to take Brex as his side piece because he loves her. Like it'south a huge honor. And than he had the nerve, the gall, the audacity and the gumption to look shocked she said 𝐍𝐎. Like wanting to be someone's first choice was such a ridiculous notion.

Now i'one thousand not hating on Caden so she can be with Warwick (fifty-fifty tho we all know they are terminate game) but because of who she turns to around him and that'south 𝐍𝐎𝐓 𝐇𝐄𝐑 Plus he'due south a 𝐒𝐩𝐢𝐧𝐞𝐥𝐞𝐬𝐬, 𝐔𝐬𝐞𝐥𝐞𝐬𝐬, 𝐆𝐮𝐭𝐥𝐞𝐬𝐬 𝐀**𝐡𝐨𝐥𝐞. And then i don't heed just having the banter, antagonism and the undeniable raw passion between her and Farkas at the moment. They don't need to be together right at present (i mean come on nosotros all want it, but i tin be patient) but at least stop wanting 𝐓𝐇𝐀𝐓 𝐒𝐓𝐔𝐏𝐈𝐃 𝐅#𝐂𝐊. You were never meant to be tamed or caged and that girl who lost her male parent, her only truthful anchor who just wanted to fit in died in that prison. Y'all are Death and Life. 𝐄𝐌𝐁𝐑𝐀𝐂𝐄 𝐈𝐓. Yous practise not bow to anyone. Peculiarly not a simpleton idiot who never deserved you to begin with.

"I jerked dorsum as if he punched me, inhaling sharply. My attention darted down to Caden, the boy I was supposedly and so in love with, and withal now that I had him, I barely even noticed him. The moment Warwick showed up, I became aggressive. Vehement. Confident. Lecherous. All things I hadn't ever been with Caden earlier. I was no longer the daughter who sat up here with him last spring, timid and insecure, desperately waiting for him to give me a flake of notice.
Allowing him to tell me he loved me as well much to exist with me. What bullshit was that?"

And I'grand glad the author didn't make this into a dear triangle, because I legit would have died if that happened. I'chiliad not a fan of that trope and usually avoid it similar the plague but in this series with that twiddlefu#k i wouldn't take been able to handle it.
So I'm very, very, very extra happy we didn't go there and that when the moment came, 𝐒𝐇𝐄 𝐂𝐇𝐎𝐒𝐄 𝐇𝐄𝐑𝐒𝐄𝐋𝐅 and didn't permit her feelings and nostalgia for him muddle her judgment.

Now if you idea the intensity of Warwick and Brex relationship in the showtime book was the highest than this book but 𝐎𝐛𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐝 the meter of hotness. Their relationship evolved a little more and I like the style the author is handling this tiresome burn down romance. I honestly prefer information technology this way. Let them build up a kind of brotherhood and friendship starting time. With of class a tone of sexy moments, i mean come on, at that place are no saints here.
Anyhow everything virtually them feels natural and powerful i just want to immerse myself in this world to experience those feelings with them.

"Why?" My focus went on him.
"I don't know that either… I simply know from the moment you walked into the mess hall that morning in Halálház, y'all've screwed everything upwardly. Similar a fucking succubus… pulling all my attention, demanding it, moving me around you like a planet." [...] He sucked in, and I knew he felt me trace the deep indention every bit if my hands were actually in that location.
"Kovacs," he said between gritted teeth.
"What?" I challenged him, staring right into his eyes equally he felt my hand slip inside his jeans, grazing the tip of him.
"Fuck." He choked, his torso naturally curling into me, seeking more than, desiring my touch. [...] Air puffed out of my lungs, matching his as I moved upwardly and down his shaft. He growled and pushed his hips into me, his grip on my arms tightening. His eyes blazed, meeting mine, breathing heavily out of his nose. In this moment, he was not some myth or roughshod beast. Nosotros were equal. And I could drop him to his knees as hands as he could me. Without really touching him."

]|I{•---------⋘⋙---------------•⪼⦕࿅⦖⪻•---------------⋘⋙---------•}I|[
Now that we got out of the way, i want my own morning routine to include a Brownie and an Imp waking me upwards. I want my own Opie and Bitzy and be a clan of iii. And I'm totally heartbroken information technology will never happen. I legit feel robbed of the feel.

"Chirp! Chirp! Chirp!" Opie's mouth fell open up.
"I don't recall he could reach his ain ass and do that." Opie looked down at himself, curving every bit if he was trying to come across if what she said was possible. "I mean, if he could, I don't think he'd be so cantankerous all the time."
My mitt came to my face, a chuckle springing out. My life was so disruptive right now. I felt then deeply for these two creatures, who I should have despised and maybe tried to kill past the standards of my own people. Even Bitzy. Yet, they helped me brand information technology through Halálház. My torso had been cleaved there, and they kept my mind together, making me laugh or comforting me, getting me through some horrendous moments. They saved me from myself, became part of me, and I knew in my soul I would protect them with everything I had."

OMG, you guys! I thought that I was ready for this book, merely I wasn't. I accept been anticipating this book since Cruel Lands released and I thought that I was prepared for Stacey Marie Dark-brown'south ingenious mindbending plots but I was so incorrect. She slayed me with this book. This book will scorch your psyche. When yous starting time this book you will exist pulled so far down the rabbit hole that you lot won't ever desire to climb back out once more.

In all honesty, there isn't much that I can say in my review that wouldn't be spoilery. Only if you are familiar with Brown's writing, so you lot will be on cloud nine with this book because she delivers the center-stopping, twisty-turvy plot that you accept come to await from her. And these characters...gah! The way that Dark-brown crafts her characters is nothing short of inspiring and downright genius. The dynamic that she creates with her characters draws the reader in and then that the characters eat your every idea. The characters go more than just names on the page. They become your friends, your enemies, your lovers. You aren't simply a bystander anymore when you option up a volume by Stacey Marie Chocolate-brown. The characters become a part of y'all and yous experience everything right along with them. Brown writes her characters so intimately that information technology is hard to separate your listen from them when you are finished reading. Merely that is the amazing thing about reading 1 of her books. The characters stay with you long after you close the book. I really loved all the new characters that are introduced in Wild Lands and I am really excited to come across where things get with them.

Once more, discussing the graphic symbol development in this volume would be pretty spoilery and so I'll just stick with a full general ascertainment about Brexley. She definitely had a great grapheme arc in Wild Lands. She is certainly not the same girl in Wild Lands as the daughter that went into Halalhaz in Vicious Lands. Her experiences in Halalhaz and in the Vicious Lands have changed her and, dare I say, awakened her in some ways. She sees things from new perspectives later her experiences and it not just changes her mentality on electric current events in her globe just it changes her very identify in that globe. Her journeying in this book is very inspiring when she finally admits to herself that she won't live past someone else'southward whims nor volition she be controlled past someone else. No matter who it is. There is a lot of self-discovery for her in this volume that I can simply expect volition be even more amazing in the next book.

In short, this book was everything that I expected and more. I am totally blown away each and every time I choice up a book from Stacey Marie Brownish. She is my unicorn writer. Her ideas are so clever and stimulating and she weaves her stories with a magic that is untouchable. She is a literal goddess with the written word. In that location is just no one that crafts stories like she can. I am just such a fangirl for this author. Her stories seep into my marrow. They challenge me, warm my heart, make my heart desire to break out of my chest, just a gamut of emotions every time I read one of her books. If yous enjoyed Fell Lands then yous will be over the moon with this book. So many of your questions from book one get answered but you will have just as many new questions upon finishing this book. And y'all won't fifty-fifty exist mad about it because the ride that Stacey takes you on in this book will knock your socks off. If y'all have not dived into this world yet so you lot are missing out on an opus of epic proportions. If yous are a newbie then I suggest starting with Brown's Darkness series. The Cruel Lands series stands on its own and can certainly be read independently but it is set in the aforementioned world every bit her Darkness series, Collector series, and Lightness Saga, and reading them first really compliments and enhances the reading experience of the Savage Lands series. This globe that she has created is truly a work of art.

Wild Lands has a comprehend and it is glorious! Wild Lands releases Feb 9, 2021, and I cannot wait!

Brexley keeps mentioning literally every time something happens how she survived the prison house and nothing is a match for her at present.

A lot of back and along betwixt Brexley and Warwick.

She is and then alluring no ane can resist her evidently.

The dorsum and forth, her irresistibleness and her niggling tough girl speeches got a little erstwhile. This was skillful and I can't wait for book 3. (I had to reread book 1, to fully capeesh this 1). The lack of clarity was why I didn't give this iv stars. I don't understand what is uniting the humans and fae and information technology isn't actually discussed. Non sure what all these resistances are fighting for. I mean if they're so great and important, I remember people would know their calendar.

****Cease READING HERE IF You lot DON'T WANT TO KNOW THE WHOLE PLOT OF THIS BOOK
My summary so I don't forget and have to reread book two:

Brexley survives and escapes from the prison in the previous book with the help of Warwick. Only Warwick soons trades her for someone (possibly his child? brother? nephew? sister? mother? revealed at the end of the volume). She is kept at Killian's where she discovers that the pills she stole will turn humans into mindless soldiers and possibly taken from fae essence? So she is returned to HDF, where she realizes she is a changed woman and tin't get back. Caden is engaged to some Ukranian later her engagement flopped. She is discovered? (not actually certain what exactly she'southward existence accused off aside from being super sketchy) and leaves afterwards a stand up off betwixt her and her former colleagues/Caden'due south male parent. Brexley is again rescued past Warwick. They accept some sort of connection. She meets up with some sort of resistance, led by her father'south family friend. There she meets Scorpion who she has some sort of connection with (him and all the men in this volume, but he's a picayune more special). Her general adoptive daddy sends an assassin after her, the whole resistance gets defenseless (this daughter is bad luck for anyone around her). She is again rescued past Warwick, they run away together. Brexley is severely injured they go to his friend Ash, he takes care of her. They discover a book (even so not clear on this), which entrances her, she relives the night Warwick dies and somehow brings him back to life. Warwick leaves to be with his family?, girl touches the book over again and brings Scorpion back to life. She decides to go for a walk. Gets caught by another resistance and communicates with Warwick where she sees him with his family unit (even so not really understanding what these resistances are fighting for-information technology'due south unsaid by no clear moral agenda). Turns out this resistance is beingness led by her uncle who is alive. It ends in that location.

Having given the offset book in this series 4.5 stars I'm very disappointed in how this one played out. The commencement book had its flaws, but there was a ton of intrigue too. This addition took all the flaws from the outset book, multiplied them by x, and and so made it the entire storyline.

The plot is essentially this:
- Brexley gets into trouble
- BOOOM a bomb goes off
- A motorcycle escape with lots of dodging bullets and miraculously surviving
- Meets upward with random X character for assistance

Having given the outset book in this series iv.5 stars I'm very disappointed in how this 1 played out. The first book had its flaws, merely there was a ton of intrigue too. This add-on took all the flaws from the first volume, multiplied them by ten, and then made it the entire storyline.

The plot is essentially this:
- Brexley gets into trouble
- BOOOM a bomb goes off
- A motorbike escape with lots of dodging bullets and miraculously surviving
- Meets upwardly with random Ten character for assist
(This is often a character we heard about in the by that is now being revealed/introduced)
- Repeat
Note: Throughout this little loop we have constant reminders of how Warwick is LITERALLY Sexual activity and Brexley is MAGNETIC AND DESIRABLE TO Anybody.

It felt similar I was reading the same thing over and over once again. That same loop happened iii-4 times throughout the book. The books ends on the "Brexley gets into trouble" footstep, which leads me to believe the adjacent book with begin with "BOOOM a flop goes off" and and so follow the same formula from there. Basically, this didn't cut it for me. My involvement wasn't held and I was ready for the book to end.

My other complaints, which I did have when reading the first book, are amplified in this improver. Beginning off, literally EVERYONE wants Brexley. Male person, female, powerful, weak, every single person she encounters is obsessed with her and can't fight her pull. She's merely soooo beautiful, only is likewise ugly skinny and has no curves or boobs. Meet? And then alluring. I understand this volition probably exist explained at some betoken, simply I don't care. It'due south incredibly annoying and Brexley is just meh. She makes actually poor decisions and thinks she'southward super badass when she's really non. Every unmarried fourth dimension Brexley needs to hold her own and actually fight she can't do it. She needs help from others or is captured. Oh yeah and when she's captured someone else steps in to save her there too. She constantly talks about how she'due south been through so much - you run across she was rich and spoiled and so had to go to jail for a couple of months. She even had to kill a couple of people! Yeah, she too got beat up every 2nd of her existence there, couldn't keep her mouth shut, and could barely take on an untrained middle aged women, just guys she's ~and then tough~. Overall her graphic symbol regressed so much.

Now for Warwick and the connection Warwick + Brexley have. Unsurprisingly, I hate both. Warwick is terrible and has literally no redeeming qualities. Why should I root for him? Oh yes, he's sex on a stick. He leans against walls, is huge, powerful and wants 0 connectedness with Brexley. Honestly, I don't arraign him for wanting to stay away from her, it's the sane reaction hither, only they are obviously set up up equally the "love match" in this story. Well, I take that back. Idk if they are. I call up and then? Merely Warwick has shown he cares for her perchance three times max. It'due south all a mess. The sexual chemistry is shoved in my face up plenty that I'one thousand picking up the hints, but I need more than that to actually believe a connection between the two. Too, it'due south overkill to have this much dancing around sex activity/sexual tension. It's no longer sexy. We see a lot of pressing dicks into backs, phantom touching (one orgasm via the weird phantom touching btw only nothing else). And look, I don't mind heroes who are complete jerks and lots of sexual overtones when I read books. In fact some of my favorite books have those themes, merely this was written in such a fashion it doesn't work. I'yard thinking of Knox in Legacy of the Nine Realms (Amelia Hutchins). He had no redeeming qualities and was a huge jerk, but Amelia all the same fabricated me love him. The difference seems to be that while Warwick sucks his character is also quite i dimensional. OH! And at one signal Brexley watches him take sex with 4 women while he of course wants cypher to exercise with her. How is this sexy at all?

And a side note, the brownie and the imp are wildly annoying. I remember they are being used as some sort of comic relief only it should accept been left out entirely. Those scenes, similar to the plot, were stuck on a loop and happened over and over once more. Brexley would wake upwards in X location, brownie and imp are nowadays wearing insane clothes, random talking and wildly annoying chatter, repeat.

I'm really disappointed and don't plan on continuing the serial. Bummer that I wasted money on this.

YA book wrapped in an adult one

I'll get-go with saying I liked the fist book. Information technology had a balance of activity with some other themes, only it was okay. This book I almost DNF.

I'll start with proverb I liked the fist book. It had a rest of activeness with another themes, but information technology was okay. This volume I almost DNF.

Now don't become me wrong, I'one thousand fine with that, but the author made this daughter like a teenager who couldn't find her style out of a cardboard box. I had to terminate reading and get dorsum to the first book to be reassured of her age, which is 20. She acts like a 16 twelvemonth one-time though. Of course everyone wants her, I can't tell you how many times some male person or another says "I don't know what information technology is almost you but I want you" ugh! Delight she'southward an idiot and that line got old the first v times I heard it. There is the chief male character, he leans off of walls and pushes himself off of them like 20+++ times. So at that place is the miss spellings. Words similar father are spelled farther a few times, there are sentences that are all wanky. Then there is the constant kidnapping and rescuing, that happens three to 4 times. The last matter that was overdone and was annoying was the brownie character Opie. He has a comeback in this book and it's not a good one. He is used along with his fiddling sidekick as the comic relief, but he is annoying and you lot'll probably end up skipping through his part, which is merely when she wakes upwardly.

I only gave it 2 stars considering of the last 25% seemed pretty practiced but then bam! She gets kidnapped again. So ugh!!!!

Wild Lands finally gives readers answers. In the previous novel, Brexley came off equally passive when information technology came to finding answers; however, in Wild Lands Brexley is ambitious in her pursuit making it a pleasure to read. Though not all the questions have been answered, I am satisfied and excited to continue reading this serial.

Wild Lands also expands the world and its lore through the answers Brexley establish. Brown has crafted a fairly complicated and segmented world, so information technology was hard at times to grasp the world at large and certain implications to some of the bigger plot points, but past the stop of the novel the direction of the series is articulate.

The sexual tension between Brexley and Warwick is so good and merely made better by their connexion. This connection is interesting and unique and I cannot look to explore it further in the coming novels. I call up it'll exist both intensely satisfying and heartbreaking.

Mild spoilers:
(view spoiler)[The one criticism I have of the novel is Brown's inclusion of Killian. Subsequently reading the synopsis, I assumed Brexley would exist spending the majority of the novel with him; however, that's not the case. Chocolate-brown did not spend plenty time developing Killian for him to feel similar annihilation more than a trounce of a grapheme. Nor is at that place whatsoever meaning development of Brexley's relationship with him. (hide spoiler)]

Overall, Wild Lands is a vast improvement on its predecessor by developing the world while deepening the connections between characters. I cannot wait to go my easily on Dead Lands.

That's saying something. Its saving grace is the dystopian-ish world that it's gear up in. I'm not even that bothered by the special snowflake status of the MC. Wild Lands kept me on the edge of my seat the entire time with the constant rush of survival, and the heat from one...Warwick Farkas. HOLY FAE BABIES. I've never prayed so hard for Farkas to barrel into my life on his motorcycle and steal me away. This unyielding, broody, sexy man weasels its way into your soul and never lets go!
Every bit if Savage Lands didn't hook me enough, Wild Lands sunk me into the deepest depths of action, hazard, survival, and most of all, rut! I already can't wait for the next addition to the story.
The Fell Lands just got Wild!

Rating: **5 stars**

This serial is on a roll for me. We scraped the surface of the underlying mystery at the middle of this series and every new facet that unfolds raises the bar of this work as well as my expectations. Although initially what I suspected at the beginning of this book turned out to exist truthful yet the manner and the vision with which it was revealed was exceptional.

Hopefully the rest of the series arouses the same level of awe in me **fingers crossed**.

And this one DEFINITELY kept up with it and and then some 🥳🥳🥳!!!

At that place was SO MUCH Activeness 🤺 in this book! Seriously, every bit Before long as we started settling in to whatever was going on… BOOM 💥 (no pun intended 😅) …. and BAM 💥 (no pun intended 😅) … nosotros are catapulted into something else 😱!
